Rembrant House Museum

The house where Rembrandt lived between 1639 and 1658 became a major museum in 1911, at the initiative of Queen Wilhelmina.

Located in the east of Amsterdam, the Rembrandt House Museum has a dual mission of presenting the work and life of the famous painter, but also of contributing to the preservation of Dutch heritage. Visit Rembrandthuis (its original name) to gain a better understanding of this extraordinary artist's origins and evolution.
