Bastions Park was founded in 1817 by A.P. de Candolle, and was Geneva’s first botanical garden. Nowadays people come to enjoy the coolness provided by the fountains and the shaded footpaths, and to stroll among the varieties of trees and various monuments, which include the Reformation Wall.
