This fountain, a work by the neorealist artist Jean Tinguely, has pride of place in the former Basel town theatre since 1977. Activated by the water that surrounds it, the construction is also animated as if it had taken over from the actors who were once on a stage now occupied by the sculpture, a symbol of the town.
