The building of the Galeries Lafayette inAngoulême, near to the commercial gallery in the Champ-de-Mars, dates from the end of the 19th century. It has recently been completely renovated, with an emphasis on the architectural heritage of the building, particularly the metal structure. The fake ceilings have been removed and the stone façade repointed.

These new developments allow the clientele to enjoy shopping and encourages them to go through the rooms on the 3 floors devoted to beauty (lingerie, cosmetics, perfume and care), and to fashion (accessories and clothes for men, women and children).
