The musée Flaubert et d'histoire de la Médecine (Museum of Flaubert and the history of medicine) was created in 1901. It was first of all installed in the library of the school of medicine and pharmacy in Rouen, then was moved to the old surgeon's wing in the Hôtel-Dieu constructed in the 18th century. It was 1945 before the museum knew its present form. Today the museum is directed by the CHU of Rouen.
