Normandy will take over the organisation of the Seventh World Equestrian Games in 2014 from the North American city of Lexington. The flagship international event is the most prestigious equestrian event with the exception of the Olympics.

Coupling trials, dressage, endurance, reining, vaulting in circles, jumping, as well the all around competition will all be held at the World Championships by discipline and presented for the first time in France.
