Travelling to Agde

Travel to Agde

Shaped by the Phoenicians and then by the Greeks, Agde is known as the "black pearl of the Mediterranean", for its black volcanic rock. The cliffs of the Cap d'Agde are to be found at the watery crossroads of the Herault river, the Canal du Midi and the Mediterranean. Adge itself unfolds beside 14 kilometres of fine sandy beaches, pine trees and oleanders. A favourite desination for many, Agde is also well known for its nudist beaches.
