Near to The Sacred Heart - Le Sacré-Cœur

The famed Sacre Cœur basilica, which dominates the skyline of Montmartre with its white dome, is one of the most popular monuments in Paris. Built in the late 19th century, the Sacre Cœur is a fine example of Byzantine-Roman architecture. The originality of its design has in turn influenced many other religious edifices such as the Saint Theresa Basilica in Lisieux.

The name of this basilica still brings to mind old-style Paris: the city of romance, painters, cabarets and literary cafes, a world which still exists around this majestic building.
