Near to Bagatelle Park

Enjoy a leisurely walk in this park, among hundred year-old trees. You will see the beautiful lake with swans and ducks, a grotto, a waterfall, and beautifully kept open green spaces which reveal peacocks and hidden floral gardens and bowers.
The Chateau de Bagatelle and its park date from 1775. The park was created as a reaction to the French-style garden in an Anglo-Chinese style which was very popular at that time.
Acquired by the city of Paris in 1905, Jean-Claude-Nicolas Forestier developed botanical collections, including the famous rose garden where today you can still find 1,200 varieties of roses and where an international competition is held every year.
