The Lapidaire Museum in Avignon is located in a former chapel of the Jesuits College. The building with a single nave displays sculptures from mediaeval and Gallo-Roman times. The latter were formerly preserved at the Calvet museum. As the years went by, the Lapidaire Museum sheltered new antiquity collections from ancient Egypt, Greece and the Etruscan civilisation. A truly extraordinary museum.
