Acquired by the city, the Castle of Annecy is now home to a museum.

Classified as a historical monument, the castle, built between the 12th and 16th centuries, is the perfect setting for the exhibition of furniture from Savoy, religious sculptures and contemporary art.

As well as the permanent exhibitions, a full programme of temporary exhibitions is on offer. Tours aimed at a younger audience are also organised.
The castle also houses the Observatoire Régional des Lacs Alpins (Alpine lakes regional observatory).
