St-Martin Basilica in Aime

Built in the eleventh century on the foundations of an early Christian church, Saint Martin Basilica in Aime, an ancient Benedictine worshipping place, is admirably preserved evidence of the finest Roman art. The apse preserves exceptional murals from the twelfth and thirteenth centuries.
Latin inscriptions and frescoes from the twelfth century decorate a triumphal arch.
A place full of history and ancient tradition.
