The Musée Saint-Loup houses very important collections of paintings and sculptures from the 15th to the 19th centuries (17th and 18th centuries in particular) with works by Champaigne, Tassel, Mignard, Watteau, Fragonard, Greuze, David, Boucher, Girardon and Natoire.
Explore the gallery of mediaeval sculptures and its bestiary, the prehistoric archaeology section from the Merovingian era, the Treasure of Pouan (arms and gold jewels of a 5th century Barbarian chief) and the Apollon de Vaupoisson, rare bronze from the Gallo-Roman period.
The remains of a Gallo-Roman villa, updated and preserved "in situ" are also on display in the museum. The museum has a natural history section, displaying fossils, insects, birds, animals, etc.
The garden contains megalithic monuments (polishing stones, dolmens and menhirs).
