Built on Burgundy land in the 11th century, Meursault chateau has since been a Mecca for wine
In the 17th century the chateau belonged to the family of Pierre de Blancheton, a lawyer to the Burgundy Parliament, however after the French Revolution it was sold. In the 19th century, following restoration, the Chateau developed its wine-making activity. Nowadays, wine amateurs and tourists flock to the castle to discover the building and its vines.
