Dijon natural history museum - L'Arquebuse Sciences Garden

Brought together from 1836 by Léonard Nodot, the collections which make up Dijon's Natural History Museum have not been installed within the Pavilion de l'Arquebuse for very long.

The showpiece of the science garden, this house is devoted to the presentation of natural sciences.

Whilst the ground floor is mainly devoted to regional and world geology, it is on the first floor that the visitor is invited to discover the animal world with a scenography which respects the 19th century museum building and how it looked then.

More than just a journey back in time, the natural history museum is a journey right into the heart of the history of science.
