Self-guided tours - Montferrand City Trail - walking tour
Montferrand City Trail runs along the walls of the remarkable old town. It illustrates the major events in Montferrand’s history, from the primitive twelfth-century chateau to the twentieth-century factories and workers’ housing estates.
Romanesque houses, thirteenth-century townhouses owned by members of the Earl’s court, timber houses, shops from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, and Gothic and Renaissance hotels with elaborate carved decorations can be seen along the trail.
