Biarritz imperial chapel

In the 19th century, Napoleon III and the Empress Eugénie, who loved the Basque coast, built the villa Eugénie, the current Imperial Hotel, in Biarritz. In 1864, the empress built a small chapel alongside the residence.

The architect Boeswillwald drew up the plans. Considered an historic monument, the building has undergone a series of restorations.
