Salins-les-Bains, which has been known for millennia as a center of salt production and trade, invites you to visit the Salt Museum.
The Museum is located in the center of town on the restored historical site of the saltworks. Visitors have access to the salt storehouse, which was formerly closed to the public, an audiovisual room, teaching areas and temporary exhibitions.
The saltworks were classed as a Historical Monument in 2008.
