Standing in the grounds of Laeken Palace, which is famous as the home of the royal couple Philippe and Mathilde and Queen Fabiola, the greenhouses of Laeken are known all over the world for the elegant beauty of their architecture.
This ethereal marriage of glass and metalwork is the work of Alphonse Balat who designed this glasshouse to house a collection of exotic plants and flowers which are an integral part of Belgian natural heritage.
