Laeken Greenhouses

Designed by architect Balat (Victor Horta's professor) the Laeken Greenhouses were installed during the reign of Leopold II.

In the private gardens of the Laeken Royal Palace, the glasshouses stand as a fine example of 19th century metallic architecture; glass and steel are here brought together in an illustration of Art Nouveau style. Thus this is a fascinating place to visit in terms of architecture and historical significance.

In addition to this, gardening and plant enthusiasts will be thrilled by the range of plant species residing under this glass roof.
