In a single storey dwelling not far from the Lac d'Amour in Bruges, close to the famous Béguinage, you will find the restaurant Maximiliaan Begijnhof van Oostenrijk. With beams and stone walls, a crackling fire in the massive hearth, the ambience at Maximiliaan van Oostenrijk is warm and traditional. The menu reflects the same ideas: dishes that are based on traditional regional recipes, from carbonnade to waterzooi, with grilled meat and fish on offer, too. A tasty and comforting pit stop.
